The story
A small studio with a specific opinion.
byMichael started in January 2026 from a desk in Faversham. It was built to be the kind of small UK web design studio I always wanted to exist: properly considered, direct, and delivered by the same person who picks up the phone.
Every site is built from scratch for the business it represents — not pulled off a shelf. That means faster load times on mobile, stronger foundations for search, and a site you actually own instead of renting from a platform that charges a monthly fee forever.
Faversham is a small Kent market town of around 21,000 people, with independent businesses, a working creek, a weekly market and a brewery dating to 1698. Working with businesses here, across Kent, and across the rest of the UK is the work I want to spend the rest of my career doing. Most clients have come through word of mouth. The plan is to keep it that way.

The work
Who I work with.
Independent businesses, makers, trades, professional firms, ecommerce founders and agencies needing overflow work. Recent projects include a Whitstable engineering specialist, a logistics operator’s internal admin portal, a family soft play business, and several Kent firms across hospitality and professional services.
Clients are mostly in Kent and the South East, but byMichael works UK-wide. Almost every project is delivered remotely. Most clients never need a face-to-face meeting unless they want one.
