We crafted a vibrant, family-first design from the ground up — intuitive user journeys, party package highlights positioned for instant engagement, and a mobile experience built for how real families actually browse.
The problem with the original site
The original Wix site had a few issues that are common with DIY builds for this type of business:
- Not built for mobile. The majority of Wacky Playland's visitors are parents searching on their phones. The original site wasn't optimised for that.
- No clear structure. Information about sessions, parties, prices, and how to book was spread around without a clear path from landing to booking.
- Booking was buried. The most important action on the site — making a booking — wasn't front and centre.
- Generic Wix feel. A soft play centre should feel fun, welcoming, and trustworthy. The template look wasn't doing any of that.
What the rebuild focused on
The new site is 14 pages, built from scratch. Every page has a specific job and a clear next step.
Mobile first, always
The entire site was designed for a small screen first. Tap targets are big enough to use with one hand. Text is readable without zooming. The layout adapts cleanly across every screen size.
Worth knowing: Google ranks your mobile site, not your desktop site. A site that works well on mobile doesn't just convert better — it ranks better too.
Booking links everywhere
Every page of the new site has a visible, accessible link to book. Not hidden in a footer or buried three clicks deep — prominent, obvious, and easy to tap on a phone.
A proper page structure
Fourteen pages sounds like a lot, but for a business with multiple session types, party packages, FAQs, and location information, it's the right amount. Each page covers one thing clearly.
A site that reflects the business
Soft play is a fun, family environment. The new site needed to feel that way — warm, welcoming, and easy to navigate even when you're tired and looking after a toddler at the same time.
